thank you for responding. i appreciate it Steve. I was hoping to have him by Saturday but as long as we get him back in play would be great. anyone still interested in down under $1 $kin$, look for me this Saturday at Rosedale at the normal 9am skins time. that way we will be done as the picnic is starting.

Winter Leagues / BRING BACK HOMIE!!!!!!
« on: May 14, 2008, 12:15:23 am »
I am starting a posse to search for and locate the Homer Simpson doll being held hostage.
Anyone interested in joining my posse please leave a message here.
Maybe if the cuplrit sees enough interest in bringing back Homey that Homey will  again be in play!!!
If you need to just resign the doll do so. Just bring him to the picnic w/$25 or play the $1 $kin$ on either the top or bottom on Rosedale.
If you resign the doll I will play down under for Homey for the $1 $kin$ or the group can vote on which course.
Plus i am having a bagtag challenge along with it.
BTW its 20 holes -plus $5 best score overall!!
So if you don't win anything it will cost you an additional $25 to play this...
Bring some dollar bills people!!!

To all members near me in ratings, lets have a bag tag challenge at the picnic and possibly $1 skins!!
I call Down Under to be the course of play.
If any objections we can vote for either the top or bottom course..

I'm putting the word out to all the members to harass the culprit.

Cliff Drive / Re: I miss Cliff Drive.......

I sure miss playing Cliff Drive. I know that Monday league didn't ever bring a lot of people, though. I know the Mighty Mo is coming up soon, so it will get some play time. It is such a great course, but it is always a little unsettling to go out there by myself or with just one other person. Sadly, I don't really get to come out on Saturdays, because there is normally a tournament. I bet doubles there is a lot of fun!
Has anyone played Cliff much this year? Such an amazing course.....maybe Ams will get to play it during the Wide Open.

You have got to be absolutely out of your mind trying that. I suggest trying an early morning round if you try that but its still risky. Cruise the park a little before playing to check things out.
Please take the time to have several people with you if possible.

If I can get a job soon I will try to find a good excuse. ::)

That's a good one!!!

Shawnee Mission / Day of Caring project June 7th
« on: April 21, 2008, 05:15:33 pm »
I have information pertaining to a clean-up day  at the park. It will be June 7th. i am guessing fairly early start time.
This is a community wide organized effort that several companies such as mine are involved in along with non profit organizations.
The exact project consists of clean-up of trash and debris that comes from external sources into the stream and lake at Shawnee Mission Park. Project may not last all day; volunteers work as long as they want. Not sure of the exact location of the park getting the attention but i think a show of enthusiastic disc golfers would be awesome.
I was told all volunteers are invited to a community picnic.
Call if you are interested or just show up.

1. Doubles Event-Parent and child will pair up and play on the same team and play in a scramble format-take the best throw out of the two partners shots and your next shot is from the spot of the previous best throw.  However, on ODD HOLES you must use the    adult’s drive(tee off) and on EVEN HOLES you must use the child’s drive(tee off).

I never claimed to be the smartest person so please explain this rule cause it sounds very confusing.
To me it sounds like you are saying  it is alternate shot on the drive only between the adults and the children. On the odd holes only the adults drive using the best shot and on even holes only the children drive using the best shot. Then its best shot out of the 4 after the drive. Correct??

If this is the actual rule then it should be spelled out pretty much like I worded it.

me thinks deano may know i am not the best player thus the no response on here or call !! :D

deano, i signed up as a single already. If you don't mind I'll take ya as a partner. let's come up with a team name. not sure if they are doing that but its always fun.
