I was going to try to make it out tonight. I'm sure someone will step up to run it Van.

On a side note, the East Vs. West challenge qualifiers are quickly approaching (Waterworks: Aug 16th, Swope: Aug 28th), so come on out and get some practice and bring your $25 entry fee/donation!

I was thinking Charlotte's Web!

definately not the web, hole 2 is a long snaking hole through the woods, not near any water...

I really don't know, but according to this pic from the link on DGCR, it sure looks like the same hole from a different angle. The caption reads... "Hole #2 taken 3/2009 [Photo by: DiscChainBasket18] - Par/Distance: 3 / 432ft.   4 / 688ft.Here's a look behind the tree line at #2. Note 'Web' basket"

Here's the course map. Maybe you were thinking of 3?

I don't know who took the photo, but it's been my desktop background for months. It's one of the only things that keeps me sane at work. I believe this is behind hole 2 at Hornets Nest. (Part of the Charlotte's Web configuration)

Sadly, the 9100' par 70 Web layout is not being used in Worlds.

I'd love to join you for this extravaganza, however we have a BB tourney this weekend. However, I'm hoping to be able to make Friday league with Ace beer! I'd love to see that Destroyer. I traded the Boss to Jordan. He says it's a meathook!

Trimming under a tree and removing dead limbs at the base when the tree is literally right next to a basket (#12 in this case) should not be an issue. Crazy....  ::)

I always complained about that hole and the cedars. Funny how they're trimmed by 16's pin, but not 8 or 12.
That's why that course has always had potential, but never lived up to it.

Columbia Parks simply won't let the club cut anything at all on any of the courses without specific permission. Even little stuff. Can that be true?

True it is Kmont. The city has an arborist and nothing gets cut or trimmed without his permission.
It's funny because in my experience the longer/more a course is played, the more lines are opened and beat out. However,, over the last 9 years at The Hills it seems the opposite has occurred. I went down last year expecting to see bigger gaps in the wooded holes, only to find they had gotten tighter and more challenging.
