Swope / Swope update

The course is mowed and for late August is exceptionally green.
The pins are on long placement.
The door to the Pro Shop is fixed.
I will install teesign #3 this weekend (welds broke)
#8 flag is missing.
The right guardian tree  on #7 is removed.
I will have maps in the box, seems to be a lot of newbie players.

Water Works / Lights going in

Stopped by WW to post Leap Daze tourney for this Sunday at Rosy

They are installing 5 new lights, 4 at the main turn in to the roundabout and one at the playground.
This should be excellent for the picnic table checkin area and illuminating gay sex.. I always thought this would be a better park for lesbians, but maybe that is just me.

Progress but slow it is still progress. Next. PeePee/Poopoo. Take out what you bring in.

Swope / Swope Course Report 3/30

Swope report 3/30/07

Ah the sweet smell of growing grass, budding leaves and flowers.
Swope has finally blossomed. It appears the plantings done last fall survived the winter and are growing.
Next will be when the work and play begins.
The parks will be berming the far hillside for hole 7. This is to use the old dirt hills on the back road and to elevate that area for a new pin placement. This is also underway for hole 12.
The Pro Shop will be touched up with paint, some which did not take
from the overhaul last year.
The P&R storage area has been cleaned up thanks to Dan Cashen, now we can see what we have.
I have been getting in peoples faces about joining and/or helping with upcoming events. The response has been favorable.
League has had good attendance. Kevin Corbett will be working in Branson the next three months.
Conversations will soon be underway about the standing water on the back road. Restrooms are another issue.
Trash is under control with the help of the Swope Love Society.
We are pulling the stuff together for the remaining tee signs.
