Bill, I feel your pain since I've been picking up trash at Swope for 20 years.
Beside the course users there are the other dumpers and litterers. Bottles are the worst.
Technically they are illegal at any park and have the greatest weight to sludge ratio.
Really nice stew in the summer. Gag a maggott off a gut wagon..
You have a particular problem with the hill on 7, from the circle partiers.
I have been advocating pack in/pack out but the local attitude tends to think the parks will take care of it, like their tax money will really go to that. It seems to be an awareness battle. Aluminum cans aren't as bad as can pickers ( me included ) can recycle them easier.
I am going to play there tomorrow and have trashbags. What is procedure on full bags?
At Swope the policy is to leave them on the roadsides and the P&R will pick them up.
