I agree, it would have been awesome to have a couple hundred people crowded on the cliffs around 13's green.

After playing 5 rounds in 3 days there is also nothing i would have enjoyed more than walking from one side of swope over to the zoo entrance and then back to gregory.

Sarcasm noted. Of course 13 is not ideal for viewing.  Doesn't change the fact that I still would have loved to have seen it.

What happened to Swope Gold setup for the final round?

Hole 3 was the same

Hole 4 played to the second shortest pin instead of hole 5's pin

Hole 7 was the same

Hole 8 was the same

Hole 10 was the same

Hole 14 was changed to the pin by 15's pad

Hole 16 was the same

Hole 17 was the same

Hole 18 was the same

Right... I was just wondering why they made us amateurs suffer through it and then didn't have the pros do it.  Cutting hole 14 in half makes it considerably easier.  Not playing 13 (hardest hole on the course in my opinion) and then 14 was shortened (again making it dramatically easier).  They gave them mostly easy holes. 

I thought the whole purpose of Swope Gold was to challenge the pros.  I would have much rather played Wilbur Young like it was originally planned.  Just didn't understand the choice.  Wonderful tournament though! Done it three years in a row now!

The Pros did play those holes the same as everyone else...those two were only shortened for the final nine...which had to fit into a specified 90 minutes...

I meant the final 9 pros.  I also wasn't aware there was a 90 minute time slot for it.  It was just different from what I remember happening last year that is all.

I just wasn't aware they were going to "water it down" for the final 9, instead of escalating it.  Oh well.

Great Clinic Guys!

I got some driving notes to work on and some tweaks to my putting game.

Think I will wait until after the Wide open though to reengineer my drive.  Otherwise it will be a long weekend…

It was awesome to know I am doing some things right and how to do other things better!

Also got a free autographed champ boss which is a nice bonus!

Are you sure? I can't find that anywhere. But that would be nice as I don't have time to run out to Blue Valley on Thursday and Water Works and still somehow get some hours in at work!

I was part of a four way tie for first in Division G.  That score was a 48 and we should have made it 46 but we botched a few birdie putts.  But you still get the same amount of points for a tie!

Question.

Signed up for Recreational the other day on the pdga site.

Then I check to see if it has posted on the registration list online and I notice there isn't a spot for Recreational.  Am I just the first one to sign up? Or does it take so many players signing up before it is officially open? Or did the PDGA screw up and Intermediate is the lowest division?

I realize it takes a while for it show that I am registered, but I cant recall not seeing a division on the list in the past.

It makes sense to only have 3 AM Rounds. But every pdga event I played last year as an AM had 4 rounds.  I would still prefer four rounds, but if it's not possible then I guess it's not possible.  The more rounds you have the less pressure on each round.  That and if it's the same cost I would prefer to get to play the same amount of holes, otherwise I would recommend a reduced price in light of a 25% reduction in play.
