Ah hell, I have been playing in open pools tracy. That must mean i am regressing far worse than i thought. 

No more ziploc fred, but i'll be counting down the months (20) til i get my pull cart and go hunt down some greybeards in masters. Well maybe greybeards is to harsh, more like salt and pepper beards. I'll never be called a greybeard though, because i can't grow a beard. Well i guess i can, but in a wierd phenomenom it actually makes me look younger. Like a teenager with some heavy peachfuzz trying vainly to look cool. Yeah and that wasn't me as a teenager either. I couldn't even grow peach fuzz. What the hell was i talking about....

I think that we can all agree that it will be much more uncommon for someone to throw a round 100 points above their rating. Where from personal experience it is not that difficult at all to take a dump on a round that is 100pts below your rating .

As for all the ratings creep talk. I have to strongly disagree. My rating is the same as it was 10 years ago. That would mean my skill level has actually regressed over the last decade. On second thought...

Had a terrible dream saturday afternoon. Was playing in a cold rain, slippin and sliding, couldn't keep my discs dry. Seemed like i was playing in a crazy fog. Dreamt that i took a 10, then a few holes later an 8. Can't remember for sure, Man...what a terrible dream.
Whew...Glad none of that actually happened.

I just wasn't ready but i guess, i probably never really would have been.

I closed up at first but the more i talked and listened about my little bud, the better i felt.

Good group around these parts, feel pretty lucky to be here. Good golf, good golfers, good people.

It's with a heavy heart that i let the few who knew him well, the some who knew of him, and the many who just took time out of their rounds to give him a little love or a little nudge off the damn tee pad, I had to let my little buddy and constant disc golf side kick cooter go on sunday.

Tough little sucker had been hiding a nasty tumor in his belly for who knows how long, and sometime after a great day at the ice bowl on saturday his body just couldn't fight it anymore and i couldn't let him suffer for my sake. Was worried sunday when he wasn't ready to go back out for more, but just thought he was worn out from another fun day doing what he loved the most. Tears me up to type this up, but just wanted to say thanks.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to say hey to him and give him a rub, took the time to give him a snack, or just took the time to be patient with him while he inevietably got in your way at some point. He was out there as much for me as i was out there for him, so i'm gonna miss him.

Thanks scott for bringing back the rosie up and down tourney.

Great contrast in the 2 courses made for a fun day.

I would also like to personally thank you for putting my name above arturo's. Even though we tied, my name looks good up there. .

My first cash, but totally unsanctioned so plenty of opportunities for more baggin!!

We would all love to have the cities be more involved with work at the courses, but we are stuck dealing with the situations as they are.

As somebody who has done a lot of work at the courses you can appreciate how it might feel to some who do try to get things done at courses to hear negativity that has already been brought up and explained. I'm sure a lot of that was in jest, but sometimes that can lead to more of a response than was expected.

This comparison or competition, for lack of a better term, between different cities or states gets a little silly to me sometimes, and i feel obligated to defend someone who i appreciate and consider a friend.

I appreciate all the work that is done by volunteers around the KC metro. That was part of the reason i chose to come here, and a huge reason why i stay.

You must be referring to the cliff drive tree fund, because rosedale has had several trees planted in the last week.

"i made the announcement last year at the players' meeting that jack would oversee this project in my absence(if you were there, danger, you would have already known).  after countless discussions with jack about numerous projects at cliff drive, it was decided to save up the money and do a larger planting when i return.  I have the watering tank and i didn't see the point of putting in trees without a regular supply of water.  seems to be a wise decision given the amount of rain kc is getting this year.  we should be able to get a better deal on the trees and mulch in two years with the money from the first three tournaments.  we raised almost $300 last year and the KCFDC has been kind enough to oversee that money until I return.

the new holes and the trees are separate, independent projects.  we will not be planting any trees on the holes we may be loosing until we have confirmation on their ultimate status.  there are plenty of existing holes in need of numerous trees that have no plans for leaving us (18,17,16,10,11).  we will be starting with those holes, probably in that order."

Unfortunately getting trees over here requires actual work and action and lots of money. I think its great that olathe has the ability to do this at little cost and volunteer effort, but is it really necessary to keep kicking this dead horse. I have worked with drew on courses and seen all that he has done with his selfless goal of improving the courses for everyone. I have faith that when he returns to kc everybody will appreciate his efforts across kc. Except olathe of course because obviously you guys have that covered.

One reason there hasn't been that much money raised is all the fund raising tourneys have been way too sparsely attended. So when people start showing up to these and an actual decent amount of money is made then snide comments may be warranted, but now its just getting old... hmmm what else was there. Oh yah Ouch!
