Found and Lost / the definition of gully washer

found 7 discs today in the gully on #15 at swope. the leaves had been blown clear of the deeper parts and discs were lying in the water or tombstoned up out of the leaf clumps, pretty cool.
I called all the one's with numbers and put all but one in the doghouse found slot, that one is most likely the one jitt belcher lost back during one of the first glow rounds last season.

little dog must have had her pups, she is aggressively guarding the underside of her condo against other dogs. they will be ready for adoption in 4-6 weeks, come get the pick of the litter!

one nice thing about these guys' music is they never had time to hold their crotches and scream unintelligibly into the microphone while performing. most of that waited until they were offstage.

Swope / R.I.P. Swope Disc Golf Course Bathroom

Today marks the end of an era. The beloved SPDGC bathroom located by tees 16 and 18 was bulldozed in a blatant attempt to improve both the asthetics and hygiene of the course. Even with the huge dirt patch, a pickup, a frontloader, and the cat smoothing it out it still looks better than it did last night.

Swope / last glow of spring

help us finish up the 2011-12 gully glow with an ace. the fund stands at well over $100 and it seems like a shame to let fred spend it on beer after we head into the light again.
same old shift: $6, 6 p.m., 3/6/12, 18 holes. assemble in the south lot.

forecast for rain is diminishing by the minute, maybe some snow during the round. best moonrise in kc, $1,000,000 ace hole who could ask for more? 6 o'clock.

Swope / meteor shower glow 1/3

come out to the gully tonight for the first quadrantid meteor shower glow round. 40ish degrees at tee time and if we have clear skies we should be able to see a few in the eastern sky; supposed to peak at 1 a.m. hopefully we'll be finished by then.
15 is in the long peninsula setting, ace fund is over a $100. rumors abound that ekolk might grace us with a visit, please come and take his money.

looks like grinders/crossroads is putting a disc golf course in their outdoor venue. they only have one basket there now, but lots of potential! someone should really tell them to move it out of the corner to offer more risk/reward. and give them a little guidance on tee placements and shape

Swope / Clubhouse left open..again
