Best shot doubles, 1 round at Swope, from the short tees (the same course played in the 2nd round of Swope Spring Renewal).

Any my company (Cerner) is playing.

No CenturyLink this year  >:(
We won't be defending our 2008 Gold and 2009 Silver medals!

Good luck Timko/Cerner

Team Garmin accepts your Division A gauntlet, Mr. Timko.

Looking forward to it,

The A division is generally pretty stacked, so it's not just us you've got to worry about.  Good to see Garmin moving up though.  It looks like you guys came from a tough division last year (B division).

Looking at last year's results, our division had the most round under par, as well as the largest percentage of rounds under par.  However, I know Embarq got absorbed into another company, and they're not playing.

A:  11 / 16 - 69%
B: 9 / 15 - 60%
C: 3 / 17 - 18%
D: 2 / 17 - 12%
E: 4 / 19 - 21%
F: 2 / 20 - 10%
G: 1 / 17 - 6%
H: 1 / 18 - 6%

It sure sucks too! Gary and I were looking forward to at least a Bronze so we'd have one medal of every color!
Another gold would have been preferred!

Dave, I'm sorry that you and Gary can't compete.  However, I won't miss having to compete against you. ;)

In 2008 Team Kiewit got Gold in C division and tied one other team for best score in the entire tournament (44).

In 2009 Team Kiewit got Gold in C division and tied three other teams for best score in the entire tournament (46).

Today Team Kiewit got Gold in C division AND HAD THE BEST SCORE IN THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT AND SET THE CORPORATE CHALLENGE ALL TIME DISC GOLF RECORD with a 42  8)

I've got a good partner.  ;D

Not to steal your thunder sir...I thought the record was 36...unless that was not a CC match I am thinking about!

Good shooting regardless!

Nope, the Corporate Challenge results are on their site. We set the all time record this morning (42), teeing off at 7:00 am.  :)

Nice shooting Tom!

We did all right on the front 9 with a -5, but was unable to capitalize on the back 9, shooting a -7 to finish in 2nd place in the A division.

I saw a 44 on the board as well.  Who shot that?

My girlfriend Kate and her partner Jamie from HNTB did tie for 1st in the C division with last years champions from Harley Davidson.  Her partner had never played before (at least with a disc golf disc) and Kate has only played a few times.  IMO I may have had a little training session with them before it started :).  No ego here thank you.

We had record setting rounds in Women's KCCC also...Bethany? from Garmin shot a 60 playing as a single...then later in the afternoon, Christy Svedja and her partner from American Century shot a 59 to be the first Women's team in the 50's in KCCC history.

Coming in do a bit of bragging :). Honeywell brings home first in B with a 44. I think we my have psyched ourselves out of better scrore, we realized we were -10 by hole 13, then parred out 14-18.

BTW, why the short tees this year? I understand 13 and maybe 14, but short tees on 5, 11 and 18 messed with my head.

The male Team Garmin had an excellent time.  I'm particularly glad we'll be bringing home the Gold since Bethany managed it all by herself.  Thanks to Rick and Dan and everybody else who put this on.

CC has always used the short tees.  Keep in mind that 60-80% of the competitors are rec players at most, so the course needs to be as friendly as possible.

The short tee on #11 is tougher than the long IMO because of the way the line sets up.

I do .  You are right.  But that doesn't mean I haven't played it plenty of times to come up with that conclusion.

Have you shot from #11's short pad?  You don't think the hyzer is tighter?
Title: Re: KC Corporate Challenge

I think the shot to the basket is easier.

Then you throw it on that straight/slight turnover judging by your vague response.

Oh..... we used long tees last year. Guess the trashbags were a good idea. #5 is also much harder from the closer spot imo.

must be a lefty.....its a simple hyzer shot otherwise in that placement....

You can fly a jumbo jet through a hyzer line from the back placement on 5. The front placement you have to cut it much lower and much tighter.

Or you can just throw a Roc down the middle.
