Is it a requirement for the East Side captain to actually know which courses are being played?

No sir. The entire East side team is welcome to not know what's going on... business as usual.

The East side wants to play a Kansas course as their choice? That's odd. I say this because I did not choose WYCO.

but you did for the KCWO! Uuuggggghhh!

Ok, with 2 pre-nomination seconds followed by a self nomination, FlyingJ it is for East Side Captain.  Thank you for stepping up, Jose.

Dick has already selected Lakeside Hills in Olathe for the West Side hosted rounds on Sunday. It's up to Jose to select which course he would like to to use for the East Side hosted Saturday afternoon round of alternate shot doubles. West side will be announcing its team selection/qualification process shortly (in the next few days).

Lakeside Hills may be occupied with a PDGA tournament that weekend.

I think Jose will do a great job as Captain for the east side, thanks for taking the reins... I will be playing opposites for this weekends qualifier but would like a chance to qualify also..

No, it is set.   It will continue to be held on this particular weekend every year, if at all possible.

That's good because that's where we will be meeting on Saturday morning.  We're going to have fun with a modified Blue Valley.  Pin settings will be announced well in advance and will combine big and baby blue.

Gonna be more of that. #kcwideopen  ;D

WYCO it is, so go get it east of state line. Looking forward to this one again.

First East Side Qualifier

Top 5 scores in Kan-U-Wyco event Saturday, March 8th.

I'm assuming this means top 5 scores regardless of division?

Dick just let me know that he will be taking the top five scores (best 2 round total) of KS side players, regardless of division, this weekend at Wyco, as his first five players on the West Side for the team championship.

He will follow that up with another top 5 scores from a summer league in the next couple months (location tbd). He will then fill out his roster with 6 captains choices and add alternates as needed.

For both captains: The only deadline for your final lineup is Saturday just prior to the first round.  The only reason I ever asked for lineups sooner, was to get shirts.  You'll need to know shirt sizes, if you have any new members on your squad, so we can get those ordered and delivered on time.  Yes, I said I will help in this regard, I'm just not going to get stuck with the bill anymore.
