Another set of qualifiers for East Side were determined this weekend at the City of Fountains event.  I scoured through the results and found the following to be the individuals that have tentatively made Team East Side. Tentative because I going by PDGA listing for their location and these players have to be active KCFDC members prior to the Team Challenge.

119 - Eric Eastwood
123 - Ken Franks
123 - CD Steiner
127 - Matt Perry
127 - Tyler Matoon
--- tentatively in above here ---
132 - Jacob Hinck

Jose, please confirm residency and club status for Tyler Matoon, Adam Johnson and Kitzeln Siebert, thanks.

Dick, according to Tom, Olathe league is at Lakeside in May.  Do you plan to use one of them as your qualifier?

Thanks Tyler.  Get in touch with Jose to let him know your status for playing in the Team Challenge.

The same goes for all qualified players, contact your team captain, Jose Ossa for East Side and Dick Parker for West Side.

Yes. The second Monday in May (the 12th) will be the qualifier for the Kansas Team at Lakeside Hills. If you have not qualified yet, this will be your chance.

Monday, May 5th, will be the last qualifier for the East Team.  BLUE VALLEY will host the Cliff Drive Monday league.  It is held at Blue Valley every first Monday of the month.

5 spots and they come real cheap.

Your money should go to your captain.  $10 + shirt cost. I haven't spoke with our shirt provider yet. So I don't know what the cost will be this year.  The West Side's final qualifier is next Monday, the 12th, at Lakeside.  As soon as possible after that, I'd like to get an estimate from each captain on their teams shirt needs.  If you have a shirt from a previous year, you're good to go, as both captains have indicated to me they will stay with the current color/logo scheme.

 We're but a month away now.   8)

Jose, look to your private messages, please.  :)

We're awaiting the official results from Monday's Blue Valley league for the final four starting spots on team East Side.

Also, a reminder that West Side will have a qualifier at Lakeside Hills this coming Monday, May 12. Five spots (plus ties) will be available for the taking.

With Dick being super busy with KCWO TD work, Joe Hesting has volunteered to assistant captain on the West Side to take care of the grunt work in finalizing the KS team.  Thanks Joe.

I'd say the east side is favored this year due to the defection of our top player.

Of course, here in Kansas we do have a former World Champ that has also been a KCFDC member, and easily could be again....... ;D

Top 5 plus ties made the West Side team at yesterdays Lakeside Hills mini:

Peter Bures - 54
Kevin Zane -56
Mark Albers - 56
Frank Weaver - 56
Lee Killian - 57
Bryan Guthrie - 57

West Side will be using Captain's selections to fill the remaining 3 slots on the starting 16 plus up to 4 alternates.

All qualified players on both sides get in contact with their captain asap, if you haven't already, to let them know of your availability for the event on June 8/9.

Captains, for team shirt orders, I'd like a count of your needs by Thursday.  Much appreciated.
