Heritage Park
« on: March 18, 2014, 10:01:48 AM »
Heritage Park has been getting cut as of last year, the budget and funds have been approved and just waiting on spring to get the forestry mowers in there to help with some removal.  I am hoping for an April or May opening but it depends on the parks department.

This was the last we've heard about it, and with the projected opening quickly approaching, I think it deserves its own thread.

Can anyone provide any update on how the course is progressing?

My personal goal is May or June, but I am still working with the parks department to get the dates set to bring in the mowers.  Once I get back to town in April, I will be working on this course a lot to get it going.  I will let everyone know about work days so we can start getting things done.  Since I have been busy with events and traveling, i have havn't been able to work on it much in the last couple months

Just an update.  Things are coming along.  The parks helped me mow a few holes the other day.  I am still working and if someone wants to help during the week, let me know.

Its still being worked on.  I have to meet on Monday with the parks to adjust a few holes, but it is coming together.  At this point, i am sure it will not go in the ground until spring.

A lot of work was completed at Heritage yesterday thanks to the parks department and there heavy machinery.  All 18 holes have been cut to some degree, that is not saying that all 18 are playable, but you can see the definition of the shot design.  We still have a lot of cleaning and cutting to do.

August is going to be touch for me as a I am gone most of it, but I will be working here and there.  I will be organizing some work days in september so we can get the remaining parts cut out and cleaned
