A tax deduction possible?
« on: April 26, 2014, 02:25:16 PM »
Was wondering if one can claim the face value of the plastic paid via winning voucher's if donated to a school.

For example, I would like to sponsor some phy ed classes this year.

No expert but; I would think you would have to claim it as income first before you can claim it as a donation.  If so then anything donated to a charity or non-profit that has a tax id can be deducted.

Hope that helps.
