Newbie looking to get the "rustiness" out and just play
« on: July 23, 2014, 09:51:57 AM »
Hey, all. I've got a disc golf background. Haven't played for a while. Moved to Lee's Summit (actually, Greenwood) from Wichita 7 years ago where I played a bit. Is there a day / time where folks just get together and play at Legacy Park? I'd like to show up.

If you're looking for good organized play I would recommend heading down to Pleasant Hill on Thursday nights and playing in their free beginners league. Aaron is the organizer; you can find their thread in the non-affiliated courses. They usually end up with a good number of players, and at no cost it's a good place to start.

Friday night doubles at Legacy are always a fun time as well, however, the prices recently went up to $7 making it one of the more expensive leagues.

That extra dollar sure is expensive...  heaven forbid we pay $43 dollars less than a normal round of ball golf instead of $44.

Like what was said. P Hill new players league is thurs tee off at 6. It's free and we usually have 12-18 players. From new players to "damn that went far"guys.  Free to play and I do a CTP for plastic each week. I live in greenwood also and to me p hill is closer than legacy.
Calm down, this is just for fun.

Is it only $6 for club members?
