Liberty Course Name?
« on: August 11, 2014, 01:53:29 PM »
Liberty would like to know what you all think for a name.  Here are 3 name suggestions for  the dgc.  These names were provided by the parks department.

# 1Royal Catchfly
#2 Walnut Woods
#3 Nuthatch Hollow

If you have a suggestion, throw it out.

Love the course.  It's a Jewell!
Throwing names out there.
The Admiral (after the famous Admiral Stockdale)
Liberty Bemder after historical  Liberty Bend.
Ace Mason Memorial. (They say he is still alive but they say that about Elvis also)
Birdie Allie. (Reference Liberty Jays)
Venus de Milo. (After the Statue of Liberty)
Masters Thesis
Hypo thesis
Ok everyone else come up with eight names.

Sleepy Hollow - that place is so good it's scary
Horseshoe Hills or Hollow - for the horseshoe pit
Clayco DGC - Because it is going to be the best course in Clay County

On a different topic... are there plans to add any bridges/walkways on 6 or 11?

On hole 17 there was a sign referring to cross country ski championships and it had a name for the course that I liked but I can't remember it. It should be considered once someone reminds us what the name is.

Having not seen the course yet (nor a disc for over a week) I suggest "Mocking Bird" or Mocking Jay". No offense if your name is Jay.

Farrier's Run?

My thought was to call it "Sweet Land" and then asked where you were going to play you would respond with "Sweet Land of Liberty"
