NOTICE. Current course conditions.
« on: August 20, 2014, 06:48:13 PM »
Legacy disc golf course, although open to the public, is currently unplayable.  The grass is way too tall.
During my putting practice today on the basket for hole 8 long, I saw three groups struggle to find their discs after every shot even though they landed safely on the fairway.

They certainly don't like to mow out there do they. I feel like the "rough" along the right side of hole one fairway slowly encroached the field of play throughout the summer.

They need players on the mow crew like we are fortunate to have out here in West Olathe.  ;D

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation has a Volunteer program at the parks department which includes Mowing/Ground Maintenance. I wonder if some disc golfers volunteered to do supplemental mowing of fairways if the parks department would allow use of equipment... hmm...

That's Legacy for ya.  Every year they have a different crew out there. I contacted them.

You may want too also.

Seems to be a common trend on both sides of state line this year unfortunately.  :(

We need a method of of updating potential players of what the current course conditions are like.  Making a ~45min drive out to a course just to lose discs in the fairway stinks.

That was the main reason for my post.  Hit Young instead.

The fairways are narrow and the ruff is knee highish.

Glad I asked. Thanks!
