Draining the pond at PC
« on: September 19, 2014, 09:08:48 PM »
Has anyone considered doing this or talking to the city about doing this?  If they would just bulldoze the wall on the far side it would be pretty easy.  It fills fast with rain so just rebuild the wall and let it fill back up.

Just an idea.

I'm open for suggestions on other ideas to get all of that plastic out.

Brilliant! I think I would love to see some of my old dics. I really miss them.

Even better we can have a bucket day out there.  Have all the disc golfer bring a 5 gallon bucket and drain it in a few hours.  I'm sure the Parks people would be cool with it.

I could bring my sub pump from my basement. Or a shop-vac.

There are multiple people swimming and wading around in the pond getting plastic out. Unfortunately they are not calling and returning the discs.

The water needs to stay in the pond.

The water needs to stay in the pond.

We can put the water back.  Just have to figure out a way to store it for a day or two.  Maybe inflatable pools.

Once the water magically refills, we'll plant some Unicorn seeds too. That way, we can train them to shuttle us from the long tee pad to the pin...

I think it's funny that everyone is taking this seriously... Next I suggest that we bring in the dredge from Bering Sea Gold to extract the disc's...

I don't think we can get our disc back.  Those disc are sunk.  BUT let's freeze the pond year round so we don't lose anymore.

I think we should build a triple waterslide.

All the slides start next to each other about 80 feet above the center of the pond, with a big funnel above each one.

If you land your drive in the center funnel, the funnel deposits the disc into the top of the "ace" waterslide - the disc rides down the slide into the basket.

The funnel on the right deposits the disc into the slide that comes out at the edge of the putting circle.

The funnel on the left puts the disc into a slide that returns the disc back to the teepad.

Kinda like mini(ball)golf, only a thousand times more awesome.

If you fail to hit any of the funnels... refer back to the initial post in this thread.

Rob, you let the cat out of the bag. Boooo!

Next I was going to suggest digging from China so all the water drained down. Hahaha
