This is all correct

From my understanding, there will be 2 rounds played for all divisions. If you're playing Recreational, as am I, you'll play 2 rounds on Saturday, the 21st. There will be a player's meeting before we tee off for the 1st round. Then, there usually is an hour break for lunch before we tee off for the 2nd round.
Hope this helps.  :)

Not sure how the tournament thing works, 1st timer here.   Does the card you play with/on stay the same through both rounds?   (with this event or others?)

The first round is done at random and the second round will be done based on scores from the previous round.  So to answer your question, yes and no.  If you all shoot the same score you might be on the same card again but chances are that the cards will change from round to round.

Unless there are only 3-5 people in your division, the answer is no.  First round is 99% random throughout your division.  Second and subsequent rounds are stacked with first best 4 (or 5) best scores in the division, then next best 4 scores, etc.

Course is set now-

1. Middle across the creek
2. Long
3. Long on the hill
4. Short
5. Long
6. Long left (Sidewalk right is OB)
7. Middle Left
8. Short
9. Long left
10. Middle Original
11. Middle Original
12. Long
13. Middle Left
14. Short Right
15. Long behind the tree
16. Long
17. Middle
18. Short

If there is significant snow like last year, I'll try to move a handful of pins shorter. If the weather is nice, we might be able to move a few pins short for the 2nd rounds. I have to work on Saturday so someone else would have to do it that day. We'll see.

Never played a 'real' tourney.  I am a bogey to par type player.  I have been playing super causal rounds for a few years......
Since i made this post i started writing down my score on every hole, every round.  It seems i am/was a bit disillusion.   Lets just go ahead and take Par out of that sentence.

Nothing wrong with that...just means lots of room to improve ;D  And playing in a tourney will get you hooked fast.

If anyone is going out to Shawnee Mission in the next day or so, could you please consider taking a shovel and clearing the teepads.  I won't be able to get there till Wednesday and was hoping to prevent the snow from getting packed down on the pads from people playing on them.

Thanks in advance for your help.
