The Kansas City Flying Disc Golf Club Tag System Rules 2007

1. Tags must be attached to bags in a visible location and carried at all times.

2. You MUST play with other tag holders on your card at any KCFDC event. Off-card challenges should be limited to one individual choice, you can accept or decline off-card challenges.  Off-card challenges will be settled after on-card challenges.

3. You may not hide or withhold a tag when you have a lower number.

4. If you have to leave during a challenge round for any reason you will forfeit your tag and graciously accept the highest numbered tag in the group.

5.  If you lose your tag you may be able to PURCHASE a new one depending upon availability, you must also notify a member of the EC if tag 1-10 is lost.

6. If you have a tag you must try to play in one club event each month.

jack:
rule #6 needs to be looked at, that should hold true only for the top 10, some people that have tags that live out of town may not be able to make that happen, and we do not want to discourage people from joining the tag club by having this rule.  Also these rules should have been handed out with the tags so that people do know that they exist, having them here in cyber-space is not hte best answer to this....  Especially since they went up after the tags were released.

The Bird Father:
The rules are exactly the same as last year so they really were in place before tags were released. I agree with the rule change but say it should be the top 20 maybe?  These are more guide lines than they are rules....tags should be a fun thing for bragging rights...not a source of arguement and hassle.  Another reason why they only cost $5 and have no prizes associated with them.

Where's that #1 at now?

Nicky p:
"4. If you have to leave during a challenge round for any reason you will forfeit your tag and graciously accept the highest numbered tag in the group."

So if you have 2 and the highest is 50 and there is a 20 and 30 on your card. You leave, you get 50, does the person that HAD 50 get your tag or how does that work? I think everyone on the card should be intitled to the lowest tag if that person leaves.

The Bird Father:
Basically the whole group does a tag swap at that very moment.....the person with the lowest tag in the group would get the lowest number tag and so on.

If 2, 10, 20 & 30 are playing together and 2 decides to leave, then

2 goes to 10
10 goes to 20
20 goes to 30
30 goes to the person leaving (originally 2)

So in all actuallity nothing changes at that very moment as far as tag status goes...the person with the lowest tag is still low man but everyone gets rewarded for someone leaving.

2, 10, 20 & 30 are playing and 20 leaves....then 20 and 30 would swap and the round continues.

Clear as mud?

Like I said earlier these are more guidelines than anything....if you want to be a a-hole and argue about tags then you're not playing for the right reasons.
