Thanks for giving folks a new look at the course Bryan. I'll be changing a few of these before the Kan-U-WyCo. Probably on Thursday of this week, Saturday at the latest.

Following is what Bryan posted with my planned layout for the tourney noted next to each hole.

1. Left (first round, short for the second)
2. Short (for the first round, long for the second)
3. Left (no change)
4. Left (I assume this means where it was in the woods, that's for the first round, original right for the second)
5. Long (for the first round, short for the second)
6. Short (no change)
7. Short (for the first round, original middle for the second)

I think that holes 13 and 17 could possibly be considered legitimate par 4. I think that hole 4 in the woods is borderline par 4. I believe the scratch scoring average in the 2005 KCWO was approaching 59. This course provides a terrific challenge.

I suspect the C placement I have in mind will be closer to 520 or so. Fairly short by WyCo standards....

As soon as the forecast for next Sunday comes out I think it will tell the tale. Right now the long range forecast at weather.com goes out to Saturday the 10th. They are calling for Saturday to be 56 degrees with 60% chance of showers but only 10mph wind. But that's the day before........   

Work day at WyCo this Sunday. I'll be out there Saturday too but Sunday will be nicer and I am scheming on some wood chips to put down in some of the muddy spots.

I'm waiting to hear back from the park's folks about wood chips. If I can get some wood chips down this weekend that would be great. I plan to be there around 10am both days to see what I can get done.

Do you have a pin or two? I would help ya put in your new pin on 17 if ya want.

I am pulling the unused pin from near the woods on #14, just to the east of the original pin. We have only played #14 there for about two weeks in the four years the pin's been there. I think it can be put to better use elsewhere. So putting in the new #17 will involve pulling and old pin and placing it in a new location. The ground is soft enough that it should be prety easy. I also plan to pull the bent #18 long out and filling in the hole. A new long placement for that hole will be put elsewhere at a later date.

Help will be greatly appreciated.
