7A.  Temp pad by shelter to pond island (technical, LHBH favored, difficult, risk/reward)

This is a really cool hole that should seriously be considered for play. You play off a section of sidewalk so there are no footing issues on the drive. Then there's a tall tree in the middle of the fairway you have to navigate around but if you fade too hard one way or the other you either end up in the drink or across the OB sidewalk. Once you get to the landing zone at the end of the fairway it's still a tricky shot across the water and onto the island with plenty of trees protecting the way and then one over the basket. Very challenging, but really interesting to try and navigate. Props to Mike and co. for the idea.

I like 7a, but this is a weekend and a very busy trail runs essentially down the middle of the fairway and that island can be filled with people especially if it is nice out and daylight is an issue with 2 rounds of possibly 90 players so the extra walk down the hill and back up takes time.

Oh, there will be more than 90 players.  Last year I was on a card of 6 first round, and 5 second round.

Why we are looking to do 2 courses at Swope to prevent this.  As for using the "extra holes" very doubtful.  Many of you weren't here back in 2001 when we first started talking about the disc golf course, and looking to use the land over there.  Wasn't only not offered, but with the shelter, they said nay altogether.  So needless to say we won't be seeing any additional holes of the extra variety with the exception of an entirely new "swope" layout for the weekend to accommodate close to 150 people at once.  So that we aren't on 6-somes.

You mean, Dick would "let" someone else run it???

You are welcome to it. Please make sure you are there early enough to get everyone signed up on time.

I gotta question, can the championships be setup on disc golf scene for pre reg and have options for paying membership and for tags.  That way only cash has to be collected day of.

To play in the event, you just have to be a current member of the club. You can do that online at http://kcfdc.org/membership/join/

Everyone must check-in in the morning and that is where I check to see if you are current. If you are then Boom. You're in. If not, Boom, gimme money.

For those who have done this before, about what time would the whole thing be done on Sunday? I'm very interested in playing, but I have an event I absolutely can't get out of at 5. I'm wondering if I'd be likely to have to skip the final round or if I could make it.

It doesn't cost anything.  If you have to cut out then it's no big deal...5:00 might be pushing it though I would say.

It will be close, you could always start and leave early taking par +4 on the 3rd round....

Thanks guys. Good to know I can just play as much as I can and then ditch out when I need to.

And I believe Jack means par +4 on the holes you do not complete...not the whole round.  Just for reference.
