1 rounder at Olpe City Lake on March 19
« on: February 22, 2016, 05:55:21 PM »
There is an unsanctioned 1 rounder at Olpe City Lake on March 19.  If you're playing this new course in the GBO, it might be something you want to do.

I recommend lunch at Radius Brewing after, though the Olpe Chicken House is good too, just in a completely different way.

J's Carryout is just as good.  Go grab a burger "To Go..." then head to Jones for more practice.
Can't go wrong with a 4.823 Google review out of a 5.0
Address: 27 Commercial St, Emporia, KS 66801

Also, tentatively in the plans, there is a fund raiser "planned" @ Eagle the week before, on Sat Mar 12th, subject to change.  More information forthcoming as they get closer to the Grand Opening.

Do the Humpty Bump!

DAMN STRAIGHT SKIPPY. WTF? Brand new course and only 35 signed up? Come on KC. Support the cause. Mike and Charles n'Olpe CO are BUSTING their a**'es on  a incredible course. Bring it! Trust me. It's unlike any course in KC. A lil of Wind, Water and Woods too. Least you can do is "Support the cause..."  for one day.  We need players input. Here is your opportunity to provide feedback prior to GBO. It's all about you and we need your feedback too please. You'll are good. I told them so too. I belong to the best gawdamn disc golf club in the country.

So bring it!!!

Freak'n fraidty cats...  ;)

Agreeing with Rob.  Would rather play Shunga Temp over a new course that isn't as established.  Shunga is a fun trek, and would rather support that event as it is much harder to set up temp and the work that goes into it.

There is another event in Oskaloosa Iowa on Saturday as well that I had thought about attending, but the closeness of Topeka won.....

Well Doug, I wasn't afraid to play Olpe.  But then DD decided to change the schedule and let the Adv. Masters only play courses that have 'always been there'.  At least for Capital City Classic the Shunga course - a temporary course only open 2-3 weeks per year - will be available to all players.

So, play a sanctioned tournament on 2 special courses - Crestview Gold and Shunga temporary course - or play a course that will be there next month and not available to Pool F?

Thanks for the invitation, but I'll head to Topeka.  I do appreciate it though.

Understood  Rob.  Have fun @CCC.

I love me some Shunga, but due to my work schedule continually jacking with my fun, (not to mention the pool change for the GBO, and playing the Monkey Island the next day), figured it was worth getting a look at the new course.  Ya'll have fun in Topeka!   8)
