Eagle DGC @ Olpe Lake is the newest addition to the list of championship - level disc golf courses that continues to arise in Central KS, 10 miles south of Emporia, KS, the city that founded Veterans Day (saluting)

The Eagle will challenge all players.  Trust me.  If not, seek me out. Beer on me. I'll likely have an IPA to discuss your gripe. ;)

Long holes, technical holes with tight trees and yes, several drives over water too, OB galore and the wind whipping off the water will make you think twice before you "launch."  No draining ponds here. It's a lake.
Whitecap's are there to remind you on windy days.
No trees to "tame" the wind @ Eagle so "be prepared or be scared."

Bring your A game and you may walk away with a smile or "Be Olpe'd."

8,352 feet par 62, matches ECC par, subject to change. We're just starting out folks.

We're working on OLPE Gold too.  One just can't have enough wild nature driven elemental disc golf here.
After all, it's all about having fun, right?   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)

(Enjoy CCC. Do well. I do miss Shunga too. Hope Big Shunga will come back. Its not on the PDGA calender yet.  Drop a hint fella's.  In the mean time Eagle is "patient.")

Wind, Water and Woods reborn...

I'm trying to find this bad mofo on Google maps. Whereabouts in or near Olpe, Kansas is it?

I have never golfed in Olpe, KS. I'm not even sure I have been there in the daytime. When I went to ESU in the 70s, the Emporia liquor stores closed at 10:00 but they stayed open until 11:00 in Olpe. I was usually the one not drinking so I would be the person to make the 10:30 run to Olpe for booze.  The mention of Ople, KS will always make me think of those times.  ;D

Actually now that I look at it. The Emporia stores closed at 9:00 (still do) and the Olpe one closed at 10:00. Hey, it was a while back.

I don't know who dropped out, or if that even happened. Looking at the registration page, I see there's still the same 4 guys playing open, 1 gal playing open, 30 guys playing am, and 6 gals playing am.  ???

Hope she gets better soon. No rush TallGuy.
Baskets were "appearing " there today too.  Such a beautiful sight to see.  ;)
Back tomorrow to finish up for Saturday.

Looks like Cathy's not playing tomorrow.  I'm definitely playing.  Now the ponder is whether or not I drive back and forth for both days, or stay the night....hmmmm...... ::)

Results are in.  I hope you all enjoyed Eagle @ Olpe today.  If you wish, you can provide me any feedback of the course, good and bad via PM so I can pass it along to Mike and Chuck.  Thank you.

Thank you all for your feedback.

Here is Emac's video disc golf course review during his round taken by Bobby.  He shot an amazing 61 (-1) despite all that "wonderful wind."  Well done!

I noticed how they only used studio audio in that video, and nothing from the camera. It was so windy that all the microphone would have picked up would be "BMBLRMBLMBRBLMRMBLRMBLUMBRLUMBLBRMBLMRBURBLEUMBLREBUMBLE."
