ARTISTS! Help the cause!

We need to get a kick butt design for WO.

Basic theme should incorporate:

25th Kansas City Wide Open- June 22-24 2007

with an emphasis on the 25th year of the event.

We are offering at least $100 for a killer design we use, the only gotcha is that we will only be using one or two so there is no gaurantee yours will be picked. the design of the disc flyig over bartle hall kind of set the satandard of what we think is good work.

We need these done ASAP so we can get on with promoting the event. So if you or any of your friends have the skills please help us out. We need these by early April!

Thats real nice....just loose the script face on the word YEARS or at least make it cap and lower case.
Script type faces in all caps is hard to read. AWESOME design!

I agree. The design is sweet and should be used; but the script "years" is difficult to read. I don't think that it should be put in block letters, though. The unique style helps capture the alure and mystique of the 25th KCWO and its history.

Thats a good start, right on theme, with some tweaking we will get there.

Any illustrators out there?

Anybody good with 3D graphics??

if it's too late, does that mean we're using the KCWO7 flipped and inverted like on the registration form?

last year someone got on and asked for artwork; but they just used the lettering they already had from the website. maybe next year, if you really wanted to use someone's submission, we need a timeline.

i like the inverted idea, not super creative but it looks clean. i think some Kansans might be upset b/c it says KCMO.

Maybe I spoke out of turn, I was just saying that some of logos need to be in here sooner rather than later.  Also, if something is submitted this year, too late, it does not mean that we can't work with you to tweak it and get it for the next year or so......so keep on sending ideas.  As for deadlines, the event is EVERY YEAR, we ALWAYS NEED ART, if you have something cool, get to someone that can help us get more eyes on it.  I did not see KCMO on it either, so not sure what you meant there Matty

i hate her.


i don't think that logo is bad at all.  since the disc has no top or bottom it would look/read fine.  the colors could be played with for variety, white stamp on a red disc, black stamp/white disc, orange disc, etc.  it's simple, not unattractive, says what we need and we already have it. 

the extravagant photoshop images that cover the full face of the disc are a bit over the top imo.
