So are there any baskets out there or are they waiting for the ribbon cutting?

Course is now open for your throwing pleasure ;D ;D ;D
Fun course, played it yesterday with Brandon....longest hole is about 350, 3 or 4 holes bring the water into play.  All of the tee pads, signs, and baskets are in.  Overall its nicely done....kind of course that you could throw 2 or 3 rounds pretty easily.

Very fun course.

The big arms won't have too much fun, but there are some cool shots out there.

Saturday October 27th will mark the opening of the Lake Shore Disc Golf
Course at Pleasant Hill City Lake.  A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held
at 9:00am.  On behalf of the City of Pleasant Hill, I invited you out to
lake to enjoy this terrific new park amenity.  To view the course layout, go
to HYPERLINK "http://www.pleasanthill.com"www.pleasanthill.com.  Click on
Parks and Rec., then Disc Golf.  You can also get direction to the course on
from the main Parks and Rec. page.

Sincerely,

Scott George

This course is a good time.  I had a handful of beginners with me and they all had a great time out there.  I really like the setting.  That lake is quite lovely, and there's something about driving down a dirt road to get to a disc golf course that I really appreciate.  What's the deal with fishing going public there?  Does anyone know if you have to have the Jackson County lakes permit to put your boat on it?

Actually, you can drive paved roads to the course....50 highway to 7 south, right (west) at first stoplight at Pleasant Hill (Community Bank of PH on right) follow the city lake signs to course.  On the boat permit question I would call or email Scott (info is in Jack's post above).

Since you live 10 minutes from it, I think that you should run it, BP.

FYI...about the lake...
Jack,

Thanks for coming out to the course.  I hope you enjoyed yourself.  I have
read a little of the forum and saw questions about the lake use.  Right now
the only people who can get a permit to fish or boat on the lake are
Pleasant Hill residents.  However, there is probably going to be a
recommendation to the Council from the park board to change this over the
next couple of months.  I’ll keep everyone informed.  As far as leagues, my
recreation supervisor was interested in possibly putting on one.  How do
they work at other places?  Let me know if you have any thoughts or ideas.

Thanks!

Scott George

So do not take your boat out there unless you are a resident.

Is the pleasant hill course open to the public or is it a private for residents only?  A link to mapquest showing course location would be good to.  Thanks.
