club championship?
« on: October 12, 2007, 07:52:57 AM »
Is there a club championship tourney/picnic this year?

If there is, and the new course baskets are in at SMP, maybe a round or two there would be kewl.

We are settling on a date now. At this point it is looking like it will be three or four rounds on 11/3 and 11/4, courses to be determined.

Then a general club meeting one evening the following week rather than a picnic. The plan is to have the Fall meeting in a more formal setting for elections this year so we can focus more on the business at hand.

Right now we are working on the format for the championships.  It appears as though we are going to do a 2-day, 11/3-11/4 4 round event, with no picnic at least sponsored by the club.  We are deciding what courses to use, and the votes are giong to be needed to determine that 3-4 round event.

We will then have a more formalized meeting the following Wednesday on the 7th or the 14th that will be the fall meeting and elections.  I just have been working on this over the week, and I am needing one more vote from a member of the EC to have all the votes in.  It will definately be 2 days, now the matter is how many rounds.  It is very close right now, and the last vote will matter.

Will keep you all posted as we move forward.
