Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 12/13 (Cloudy 43-45, South - Southeast wind 6 -10mph)

Nineteen players out for Sunday league....establishing a new league record for most players! Players came from as far as Topeka & St. Joe....hope everyone had a fun time.  Course was a little sloppy, as the top layer thawed out.  Drew/Dave won with a 9 down...afterwards Drew said that neither of them played that well, said that Dave started out strong and when he cooled down Drew's game heated up.  Pretty profitable League for Dave....he picked up his winnings for a previous league plus Sunday's League. :P  Leo/Matt ? and Dick/Lance tied for second with a 8 down.  Amanda/Dan took fourth with a 7 down...we were in a battle with Caleb W/Cali for most of the round, winning the card with a bird on #18.  Shot of the day was Amanda's putt on #15 from 40-45' to save par (after Dan had missed).

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 12/20 (Cloudy 38 - 43, South - Southwest wind 6 -10mph)

Fourteen players out for Sunday league. Narin/Walker hung tough all day (Narin hit two putts of over 40'...one to save par on #13 and one for a bird on #16) to take the win at 7 down.  Leo/Ray and CD/Theiss tied for 2nd at 6 down... they elected to play if off with the winner taking all (2nd & 3rd cash)....it was short (get it CD?) and sweet as CD/Theiss birdied #1 to win the playoff.  Could of been the good Karma John got for giving some of his friends a early Xmas present with entry into League.

On the bizarre side.... Dan/Fox were 7 down thru 11 holes and finished at 2 down (couldn't of been because Dan threw OB on 5 of 6 throws on #14 & #15).  Lance/Spencer thought Lance's drive was OB in the road on #14 (long across the road) and played Spencer's from the woods....turned out if was Caleb Walker's drive and Lance's was 45-50' from the pin....they wound up with a 4 instead of the easy 3 or possible 2.

No League again this Sunday....with the fresh snow, I'm not sure that my traction limited car can make it out of the neighborhood....let alone the road to the City Lake (usually one of the last to be cleared).  We'll try again next Sunday (doesn't look promising).....

Next League is at noon-thirty Sunday 1/10 at Lake Shore, hope to see you there....if you have questions about league give me a call at 816-210-1063.

Let me know when you see a 4wd Mustang. Dan, maybe you should sell the Ford and buy an Audi.

I cleared 13 pads today and hope to finish the rest tommorrow. The weather channel has the temp. being 21 by noon, didn't know if anyone was going to make it out. The road coming in from Pleasant Hill (163rd Street) is in descent shape,  but once you get to the park it gets a little dicier.  I made it in and out with my two wheel drive pick-up even though the road entering the park hadn't been plowed. (I'd like to see Coffmans' notch try and make it.) If you do decide to get out of the house and brave the elements, I'll suggest bringing your best snow boots, for the three foot drifts, and an ICE BOWL attitude. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the crisp sound of howling monkeys can still be heard in 20 degree tempretures.

Anyone up for league this Sunday?  Supposed to be in the upper 40's (heat wave, tropical heat wave).
Even a bad day on the disc-golf course beats ANY day at work! -

If the forecast holds, I'd be up for playing....might need to catch a ride out to the park though...
