Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 3/14(Cloudy 45-47, Northwest wind 10 - 15mph)

Six players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore.  With Brian's assistance we moved pins #1 (Short) and #18 (Short) before league.  Dan/TJ secured the win despite no birdies after hole #11 :o....probably because they were the only team to go boogie free :P.  Jim/John finished second with a drop in birdie on #18...the second of the day for John's Pro Classic Roc, with the other one on #7.  All in all a mellow competive round on a chilly, dreary day.

Snowed out...I've had all the snow that I can handle for this winter!  If you feel the need to play, I would recommend the DUI.

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 3/28(Partly Cloudy 45-52, North - Northwest wind 13 - 16 gusting to 21mph)

Six players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore.  Boy, seems like the only times I play any more its windy.  Strange day at Lake Shore, no birdies after Doug/Dan hit a tailwind 25 - 28 footer on #7 until Shane parked his drive within 3 feet on #16 (for what turned out to be the last bird of the day!).  With a stroke advantage on Bobby/Ray on #18, Doug/Dan couldn't convert a 22 - 24 foot headwind birdie putt to insure the win...then Bobby/Ray couldn't convert their 20 -22 foot headwind birdie putt to force a tie.  ???

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 4/4(Partly Cloudy 68 - 80, Southwest wind 16 -24 gusting to 36mph)

Nine players out for Easter Sunday League at Lake Shore.  Caleb C moved #1 Long and #18 Long before league.  A truly windy day at Lake Shore, wind was in the mid teens and increased to mid 20s.  Matt/Caleb C started out hot with 3 straight birds (#4, #5, #6) to start the round...but boogies or lack thereof became the theme of the day...although Matt/Caleb had 6 birds, they also had 4 boogies, dropping them into a second place tie with Dan/CaliDan who only had 3 birds with 1 boogie...not sure if the winners Doug/Eric went boogie free or not but they wound up -4...talked to Doug they had 5 birds with a boogie on the last hole (#18)...Amanda/Caleb W had 4 birdies with 5 boogies...Will/Brandon had 4 birds with 4 boogies.

Caleb C moved #5 Left, #9 Left, and #15 Right before league.

And apparently no one thought it necessary to announce these changes before we rolled off! I played the front 9 before league, and figured that's how it would be during league. My fault for failing to pay attention, of course, but an announcement of these changes would have been nice seeing how it's not unusual for folks to want to scout the course right before a round! So here's how it f'ed me up:

Our group started on #4, which I easily parked for a deuce. #5, again, I easily parked... AT THE WRONG GODDAMN PIN PLACEMENT. :D
Yeah, I know, the other pin placement was right in front of me and totally visible from the pad, but I still had my preliminary scouting round in my head and was ready to execute, dammit! So even though this was totally my fault for not paying attention, I still spent the next several holes thinking about how crappy it was to move those pins right before the round and then not tell anyone about it. But other than that, it was a beautiful day, Ash and I still had some good throws, and I'm definitely looking forward to more P-Hill next weekend! ;D

My apologies Mike, hate to admit it but I didn't realize they were moved until we got to #5  ::)...(We played a casual round there Saturday and I had mentioned that #5 needed to be moved)...I automatically checked to see if #9 had been moved long when I saw #5 had moved...anyway I'll make sure an annoucement is made of any course changes, when we draw partners.

No apologies necessary as I should have been paying better attention. We had a good laugh over it and it's even funnier now looking back! :D

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 4/18(Sunny 62 - 64, East - Southeast wind 5 -8mph)

Eleven players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore.  Caleb C moved #14 short before league.  We agreed to wait on Fred & Tavish, then as we were disbursing after drawing partners Slim came barreling in...I invoked the late rule and Slim was Cali.  Dick/Fred ruled the roost Sunday with a 44... although they started with a boogie on #1, they ran off 7 straight birds at one point.  Slim/Cali Slim tied Dan Z/Caleb at 46 (Slim birdied all the woods holes 4, 8, and 12)...Dan Z/Caleb birdied the first playoff hole to take 2nd place cash.

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 4/25(Overcast, Northwest wind 13 -16 gusting 23 mph)
