Caleb mentioned he would not be at league next week, if anyone might be interested. I'd call him to confirm but then he would probably show up. I'll be out at Phill on Saturday morning working on extending the tees, if anyone might be interested. (816) 807-2619 ask for Lance.

Because of the rain we don't to run a loader on the course, trying to reschedule for next week. I'll be out there later today cutting in the woods. Lance 816-807-2619.

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 8/1 (Clear 84 - 87, Southeast wind 3 - 8)

Eleven players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore on a mild summer day.  I got new keys from Scott George (after I broke one off in the lock July 4th weekend) and gave one to Lance...since nothing had been moved for a month, he moved everything with a alternate pin except #8 and #14...that was above and beyond in my book.  You would of thought that would of worn him down some, but Lance/Paul proceeded to cruise to a 5 stroke win over the field shooting a -10 down...with 6 birds in a row (2 thru 7)...with a couple of 40 plus foot putts for birdies, including #18 to get them into double digits.

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 8/8 (Clear 93 - 96, wind South 6 -12)

Even dozen players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore on a hot summer day.  No baskets moved...Caleb brought out his basket and we setup a alternate pin on #3 as a practice shot.  This one started out as the Doug/Dan show, after 11 holes they had a 2 stroke lead over their closest competitors, Slim/Sean (-8 to -6)...but Slim/Sean got their game on after they both missed back to back 20-25 putts on #8 (par) and #9 (birdie)...Slim parked #10 and #11 for birds, then Sean went off with the long putts... converted a 35-40 footer for bird on #12, 35-40 footer for bird on #14, and a 70-80 footer for bird on #15(about 20' left of the big Oak tree)... when the dust settled they had 6 consecutive birds (10 thru 15), and a 2 stroke lead finishing at -11 while Doug/Dan settled for second with a -9.  Memorable shots...Slims thumber hitting the base of the tree to the right of #6's pin and rolling 35-40 feet back towards the pad... Slims thumber on #7 hit within 5 feet of the pin and bounced 8-10 feet straight up in the air!

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 8/22 (Clear - Partly Cloudy 87 - 88, wind East - Northeast 3 -10)

Nine players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore on another perfect summer day.  Caleb moved #2 Left and #14 Long (across the road) before League.  Sean texted me but when he didn't show we drew cards...we had just thrown our drives on #1 when he arrived, so he got to be Cali...seems the Lake Lotawana Police thought he was in to big of a hurry...anyway they let him off with a warning :P.  Caleb/Dan and BJ/Slim started out hot with both teams 6 down after 8 holes...then both teams cooled off while Fox/Paul heated up and with their bird on #13 forged a tie with Caleb/Dan at 7 down...when Caleb/Dan birdied #15 (Caleb a low bullet within 25' of the pin) though, Fox/Paul had a bogey to drop 2 strokes back into a tie with BJ/Slim at 6 down...Fox/Paul then had another bogey on #16 to drop out of contention...BJ/Slim made a late push with birds on #17 (Slim thumber within 20' of the pin) and #18 to finish at 8 down...Caleb/Dan finished at 9 down with a bird on #18.  Did two $1 CTPs on #18 Short, Fox won both CTPs with shots under the basket :o...

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 8/29 (Clear - Partly Cloudy 88 - 91, wind South - Southeast 8 - 15 gusting to 22)

Even dozen players out for Sunday League at Lake Shore to complete the Afternoon "D" Lite weekend.  Played the same setup as the 2nd round of the "D" Lite and AfterGlow.  Ash/BJ pulled out the 1 stroke win with a 47...word was that Ash hit several over 40' putts to secure the win...seems Ash worked on his putt while the rest of the campers were aaaahhhh recovering...Nick/Ray and Caleb/Doug split second cash after a 1 hole safari playoff was a push...SteelerDoug filed a "official" protest that Nick had an unfair advantage with his motorbike and thus not walking the course...League Director summarily dismissed the protest citing the usage of Deano's Golf cart at prior events...

Pleasant Hill League, Sunday 9/5(Clear - Partly Cloudy 80, wind South 5 - 8mph)

Seven players out for League at Lake Shore on a beautiful afternoon.  Caleb moved #1 Long, #2 Right, #5 Left, #8 Right, #9 Long, #12 Long (in the woods), and #17 Long before the round.  Caleb and I had a issue during the round...I asked him to leave and not attend events that I run.  Doug/John cruised to the easy win shooting a 49...Bob/Will/Jay shot a 50...Fox/Dan shot a 51.

Next League is at noon-thirty Sunday 9/12 at Lake Shore, hope to see you there....if you have questions about league give me a call at 816-210-1063.
