I haven't been patiently awaiting any course that has a heavy police presence But on a side note, constructive criticism shouldn't hurt... much.

I know we've all been impatiently waiting for this course to be in....lets enjoy it!  The course will evolve over time.  I haven't got to play it except with the portable baskets, I thought there were some interesting and challenging shots.

We shouldn't lose sight that we have a new course in one of the best parks in the Kansas City area.  Shawnee Mission park is huge, so there is lots of room for future expansion.

I agree.  Now that the course is in we have our foot in the door, and it's our responsibility to use the course as much as we can in a responsible fashion, so the opinion of the community on disc golf becomes more favorable over time.  I am thinking mostly of us disc golfers just being polite and staying out of trouble in the park.  That being said, at some point in the future I would like to take advantage of the fact that this is so close to work and start dragging coworkers to the sport.  Maybe I can persuade the powers that be to get some disc golf-related work function up there.  If I ever do that, I will be sure and make it loud and obvious with lots of heaped praise for the parks board to hear.

It is an awfully big park, and if the community sees the existing course as positive, our presence there will be encouraged and allowed to grow.  Slowly and steadily, we can take root and spread.  Make a joke about how disc golf is like a weed if you want; a pro like me doesn't take shots that easy.

Thanks again for getting this course in, guys.  It's already one of my favorites.

I was just curious.  KC lacks championship wooded holes, unless you count down under when the pins are pushed back.

51 is pretty good.  Nice shooting.  I've got something to gun for now .

You can do it...I shot a 52 tonight with 2 bogeys on my first shot at the course....I really only had 2 loose shots, though.  A darn good round for me....someone more talented could definitely shoot lower....and there's LOTS better players in town than me.  Nice to know I got close to the course record, though.

We, playe Saturday morning and all around, all seven of us enjoyed the course.
Good players will certainly be breaking 50!  Once the course matures, gets multi tees and pins
it will be awesome.

We all really liked the last 4 holes!

We have been holding a disagreement as to the existence of a disc golf course out at SMP.  Today I took a drive out to the park and confirmed there are baskets.  Then, a quick review of these forums shows me an entire section devoted to the course.  Where have I been?

I can not wait to play!  SMP is less than five minutes from the office, so I can see many lunch-time games being played.  Thanks to all for making this become a reality.
