SMP League Night

We're at that point where nearly every weekday will play host to two different leagues this summer.   Should this topic be added to this months EC meeting for voting?

This is the schedule I propose.

Monday: Cliff and PC
Tuesday: Swope and SMP
Wednesday: Rosedale 
Thursday: WW and Black Hoof
Friday:  Wyco and Legacy (what sort of league do they plan to run?)
Sat: PH

If you aren't proud to be a member of the KCFDC by now... I mean come on... We are debating when to schedule leagues for courses because they are doubling up.   Do you really think there are other clubs with this problem?

Speaking from experience, no.

Would it be possible for me to walk the course with some of you during league play?  I am just now starting out and watching some excellent people play, I think would really benefit my game.

I agree with the night of the week and think I might be able get myself and two others to SMP on a fairly regular basis!

With all the discussion on tags recently, IMHO it should be singles with random draw doubles tossed in occasionally.

Singles is fine during the DAY.. At night it can be discouraging.

The reason they were kicking the ground and waiting because they were seeing if the ground was hard enough to support those trucks.  Which it was not and is not.  They were able to cut the trees but until we get a HARD freeze or little to no precip for a week or so. They can't take the chance on forming more ruts in the hillside

Just show up and play, that's what I do. I know I don't have a chance to cash, but I figure the $5-$6 to play is well worth the experience and camaraderie. In my experiences playing league (which are few and far between), I've found the other players to be mostly welcoming and helpful. Not only will you begin to pick up on the rules of the game better, you might even get some friendly advice on throwing from others on your card.

I heard you get kicked out of clown school for being too serious. Tuesdays sound good to me for league. Or better yet Sunday mornings.

Actually, when I was in clown school (the first time) a lady from the Kansas City Star was writing a report on "Clown schools" and she wrote about me, and I quote, "He was the Class Clown of the clown class".  Thank you very much!
