Report: 7-8-05, Cliff Drive
The tee time started soon after the church bells got done chiming. Turnout was surprisingly light, Only two to play a gusty course on top of the hill and a sticky and humid downhill side. Winds were varing 5-20 out of the south east. At the first tee (16th) it was 75 degree and very sunny.
The course was in rather good condition, still clearing needs to take place on the downhill side of the course. but quite abit of that was evident along with what looks like a new placement for pin 15, about 50-60 ft. deeper into the woods on the right side of the current postition. I found many of the tees on the top side to have new lumber sub-merged into the ground , such that a mower could run over it without a conflict. Tee 14 has a brick border now. On both accounts whoevers work that is ; well nice idea and a good job. Also it should be noted that on fairway 6 it looks as through the local delinquents spent alot of effort doing donuts and shreding the grass up! The trash probelm does not appear as bad as it has in the past.
The scores for Christian And Jim showed the heartless nature of Cliff Drive. 1 Birdie, 16 Pars, 12 Bogeys, 6 Double bogeys, and 1 Triple bogey
