What's your least-favorite hole?

Okay, so we love every hole at every course in town, but if you had to choose a least favorite, which would it be and why? Is there that one hole you dread because it always blows your round score whenever you play that course? Maybe it's too long, or always muddy, or it has a tree that loves to jump in front of your disc when you tee off.

For me, it's got to be #3 long at Blue Valley. Sure, it's pretty to look at with the lake next to it and all, but it's long as all get-out and completely uphill. I usually have to throw my hardest about 5 or 6 times just to reach the basket! It tanks my score every time! Argh!

So, which hole gets your goat?

One that comes to my mind after the EC meeting last night where it was mentioned is #12 at CD.  The one along the road OB, and  the good luck retrieving it cliff to the right.  I wouldn't say I hate this hole or even call it my least favorite but it's been a round buster more than one occasion.  With wind in your face it will make grown men cry.

The one that I think of is hole number 8 at the down under course.   I seem to always hit the tree in front of the pad and end up under the bridge...

No joke! I'm a lefty and have decided to never again throw backhand on that hole. In what context was it mentioned at the EC meeting?

I personally dislike hole number 16 down under. It is a stupid shot, and a very inconvenient walk to the tee pad and back up the fairway.

Perhaps this post belongs in a "worst hole" thread.

I really like 16 down under.  Memorable with character.  Short hole and easy to duece or even ace if you have a really understable disc.  If you don't hit the first gap though....

The one I don't like is 18 at Blue Valley.  Georgous looking hole from the tee, with those huge cottonwoods.  And from the tee, it looks like there are 3 or more intriguing routes.  On closer inspection, I believe there is only one good way to play that hole and it leads to a 4 a great % of the time.  Lots more 5's than 3's though. Not a terrible hole, just not as good as it looks, and it doesn't get the player back to where they parked.

i always thought hole 1 long at waterworks was a bear.  with high winds sort of the norm there you can really start the round off with a discouraging tone.

Seriously...  #13 at WyCo is one of my least favorites because it is just sort of long and boring. A transition hole that pretty much just gets you from one interesting part of the course to another without adding anything but a way to get there without just walking it. Talk of an alternate tee pad might help bring the road into play more though.

But, really, when you're playing disc golf rather than working or dealing with less pleasant matters is there such a thing as a bad hole? I'd sure as heck rather be on #13 at WyCo right now.

I agree on it being boring, but there isn't a whole lot you could do without bringing the road into play to change the hole.

#17 Down Under has always been my nemesis.  I can't help pulling the drive right through the right side of the fairway, smacking into those damned trees.
