Tough topic.
If  pro 2 is adopted, and masters is not a division, who decides where the split occurs? The mini director, the board, or ? Does it vary from mini to mini?
Would the split be based off of PDGA ratings, or local ratings? A ratings based split forces the mini director to somehow verify a players rating. It also means sombody has to keep the ratings. John has been doing this, but do we want to have somebody doing this continuously and indefinetely?
The players at the cutoff level (for instance if the split was 950 and they have a 951 rating) will not be real happy, but I suppose you can't please all the people all of the time.
Whatever we can do to make for a better KC disc golf experience, I'm in favor of. It's already great.

A recent study found the average American golfer walks about 900 miles a
year. Another study found American golfers drink, on
average, 22 gallons of beer a year.
That means, on average, American golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.
