League Results 7/28/07

With beautiful weather, 79, not too much wind, the course looks to be in pretty good shape, with the exception of some trash.  Mowers are starting to get the right areas, and we are moving forward.

This will help with the clean up this Sunday at Cliff Drive, if you can come for an hour, it makes a difference.

We will work on:

#1 Where the pad will actually be placed, open up the trail....
#2 Opening for the mowers, and alt#1 pin (last item to work on)
#3 hillside
#5 Deep placement
#8 in front of pad, they cleared out #7 nicely, so we will spend a little time pruning it, but not much!!
#10 Deep placement
#15 New pin placement

We may look at additional holes that with a MAJOR tree down (#6) may allow us to create the hole to come up and out by the water, and then re use the shot that goes around the road that we used to do after the "cliff shot" that had a long walk.  I doubt we get to it, but hey it is a possibility!!

Upon reviewing his scores from the comfort of his bedroom computer, Hart Donation determined that he actually shot a 49....so with a -2 stroke penalty, he gets a 51......will validate this card once I get home to see if in fact his memory is better than his mathematical skills.......

I added that card so it's probably wrong. I thought someone was checking me over my shoulder at the time though.

I was on the card with Chappy and Kevin and I concur. What John listed is what I remember. I wasn't over there to really see how far away he was on #17 but it didn't look like more than 25 or 30 from where I was standing at the time. He also had one huge putt for a bird on #1 from about 50' and had an ace run on #10. Very close.....

as I recall the refreshments were DELIGHTFULL ,thanks chap..  we had a great group.. I really enjoyed playing this round. There were some amazing shot making//course managing skills going on out there. and yes the ACE fund is SWEET ....

Kevin was probably 30 feet away on 17.  Heck, I was only 100 feet away....that's a bomb for me.

As for remembering every shot I made, it's a curse (or a gift).

Yeah, you should move that tee shorter, so more people can 2 it, so you actually see the disc land, and people who throw far have to worry about the OB.   Right now the long arms just blast at it without worrying about the OB.

I like both Jack AND John's idea.  Make it a more deucable hole and also trickier for the righty with an arm.
and then when you go to the island it will still be a tough shot.  Then you have a true SHORT and LONG placement.  Not just a long and a really long.
