This is wonderful news!!! It's great to see community organizations such as this one get into disc golf....However, that is the same day as the City of Fountains Tournament. And the COF is a PDGA "C-tier" event...for which I am hoping a good turnout.

Kevin - Did they just decide on that date recently or has it been set for a while??? Do you know? If there is a way that we could get Ozanam to push it to Sunday the 21st or even the following Saturday, I think it would be more beneficial for both events if they weren't on the same day (as far as turnout for both). Do you know who is in charge of running this event for Ozanam?

I'm just the messenger. I posted this for Dan Cashen. You might want to get in touch with him about scheduling conflicts. It sounds like a fun event to me.

Living in the area, this is private for sure. My guess is maybe a temp course as well?
Also - looks like two different 18 hole sessions and it's $50 a person????

Very private.

I have a call in to see if we can move it to Sunday.  We will then advertise it at the City of Foutnains on Saturday.

I am hopeful that we can get both to work that weekend, it would make for some great disc golf that is for sure.

Let me just add that this is a great organization so the $50 tournament entry fee is helping out a great cause as well. I hope you can get things worked out to get a good turnout for both events.

Might be easier to move City of Fountains to Sunday.  Just a thought.  The Ozanam folks have promotional flyers and stuff already printed out with the date.

but since the PDGA info has been up since April, I was thinking that way.....I am not opposed to moving it to Sunday though...

Either way, there's no conflicting pdga event on Sunday.

I may change it then, would rather have Charity people that had fun come play Cliff and Blue Valley, plus it gives me an extra day to set up the Blue Valley Course the way I want it.

Thanks,

Jack

Moving COF to Sunday would be fine since nothing has really been printed up on it yet. I don't really think it would affect turnout.

Changed the date of the City of Fountains, it will be on Sunday the 21st.

Please plan accordingly.  The Chiefs PLay Atlanta, so it may be one of the games they win this year.......but it is away game, so I did not see any need to mess with the other folks, would rather have them on board than make them mad as they grow into the sport.

Thanks,

Jack

my only point is the $50 comment was as it relates to one round. I did a doubles charity event, two rounds, lunch prizes etc. and received a littel greif on teh $35 per player entry fee. Not a lot, but a little greif.  In the end, I'll probably playing this event anyway.....two minutes from home and a REAL good cause!

I google mapped it.  3.6 miles from my front door.  argh people and their privacy.  If this was paris hilton's land we would have been playing with her holes months ago.
