what are the pin placements for swope gold i always hear people talking about it but never heard what the placements are exactly...

I have played two different versions of Swope Gold in two years, although the real Swope Gold has lots of gold rope I hear. Never have experienced that one. The two layouts I've played are the same, except hole one, which has began in a different place both times.

1. Either hole one long or hole three accross the parking lot.
2. From #4 pad to #5 pin down the hill by the pin trees.
3 - 5. Temperary holes.
6 - 18. Played out like normal.

I believe it is actually listed at 536 feet. The 689 foot hole is the second temporary hole.

It seems like hole 2 should be a lot longer than 536 feet, though.

Yeah, I guess the numbering layout is different too. Anyway, that's the distances as published last year.

5 long pad to the left pin is just shy of 400', so I think 4 tee/5 pin should be quite a ways longer than 536'.

no its not......it is barely over 300 to the left pin from the long pad, I've driven past it before.  I know its downhill, but it isn't the mountains.....

It's effective distance may be 300-320 because of the downhill slope.  Playdg.com has it at 375', which seems about right.

PLay DG is NOT ACCURATE.

Their distances sometimes are close to 25% off what the signs say.

I'll see if I can get the plotted points on Swope for us from home sometime.
