Missing Basket

Wyco is missing basket #6. The bolt was cut and the basket is GONE!!!!

I muttered 12 holes of expletive description following my discover of this missing basket yesterday.

Was waiting for Tracy to chime in to be sure this was really stolen or if he had moved it or whatever. This makes three baskets stolen from WyCo now. That sucks.

I don't understand who would steal a basket. I would think that if you have use for a basket (i.e. practicing in your yard) you wouldn't steal one from a course that you might play at. If a person has no use for a basket (meaning they don't play, so don't care about the course) why in the heck would you steal it any way. I guess I'll just never understand the criminal mind.

Perhaps what should be removable isn't the "whole" basket but just the chain top. Is there some handy metal worker out there that could design a basket where the portion that is moved is the basket and chains only. I don't know if this is do-able, but it sounds like a great notion.

It seems that there have been several baskets taken from the KC area courses in the last three years that I have been playing disc golf. Does anyone have a count of total taken? Someone obviously could be trying to build a course, although it seems that it would be very hard to keep that sort of thing a secret. And it would seem to be risky to try to sell something like that on E-Bay when the disc golf public would likely know that a basket has been stolen. I don't get it. I think someone has to be really stupid, and they are very lucky they have not yet been caught...

It's kids.. dumb ass kids.. Beat your children folks.  Quit thinking spanking your child is bad.  This is what the rest of society has to put up with due to your lack of enforcement.  I'm not saying hit them in the head of break any bones.  But take your belt off and woop em.  It only takes a few minutes a day.  Think of the great good it will do for you wrist.  That in turn will help your game.  So I would like to conclude by saying this... Beat your Children.  Win at disc golf.  thank you
