the course plays really nice with the new back nine.  the cranky neighbors really did us a favor.

I just was out there yesterday.  The redesign is great!  The new placements and new holes really make the course more challenging and fun.

What made my day was crashing my approach shot it the basket from about 90' out on 4!!!

Sorry dude, but we were watchin' the chumps choke the bone for about three quarters, ate some food, and then headed out for the afternoon.

Cheifs = 3 & 13?  Maybe?

3 wins? hmmmmm, i don't know about that...not the way they've played so far this year.  looks like the denver game was an anomaly.

and yes, the new holes are definitely tougher.  the back nine now has some serious teeth.

Who else are they going to beat?
Missouri....our state animal is sterile, our state rock is lead, and we elected a dead guy to the U.S. Senate.  Of course, he was the best candidate.

Well guys I don't know who else they are going to beat.  I can tell you that I have been drinkin' the cherry cool aid for about 28 years now, so my eternal optimism gives me hope...as false as that might be.

...13 and 14 are my favorites of the new holes!  although I am a fan of the whole redesign.  Most partial to not playing next to farmer d!ck h3@d's yard!!!

More good news...City of Pleasant Hill installed 6 alternate pins (reusing the pin sleeves we dug up) on the following holes today! ;D :P
  #4 In the woods
  #9 Long left
  #14 Long right (across road)
  #15 Right
  #17 Short right
  #18 Long

The city is also redoing the tee signs....things are really coming together!  :o

Wow, it sounds like I may have to give PH a second chance with all these changes. I've only been out there once-- right after it first opened opened-- and I just wasn't all that impressed. I mean, I thought it looked great and all, but after the first few holes, the novelty of playing next to the lake began to wear off. I didn't think it was a bad course by any means, just not worth the drive for me.

Now that these changes have been made, though, I'm definitely going to give it another try. 8)

For those of you keeping score at home, the following holes currently have alternate pins: 1,4,5,8,9,12,14,15,17,and 18. :P

Dan, I really like the sound of the way the holes are shaping up out there.  I was in Keiser's boat; not a bad course, but too long of a drive for too few signature holes.  But with the addition of water/woods shots, it sounds like the back 9 has got some sharper teeth.  Perhaps next weekend...

You may not realize it, (being a Chicago fan and all) but there IS a famous trophy handed out to the NHL champ every year. It's called The Stanley Cup, it's really heavy, and my guys are tired from lugging it around all off season! ;) :D
