40 people out for a unseasonably mild Saturday afternoon.  This is our 2nd biggest attendance ever which was just 7 people shy of the record, set only 2 week prior.

I normally play the long pad on #1 myself.  14R is a beast though.  It's a super easy way to lose some plastic kicking down the hill.

Do you have plans to clean up the tunnel for 13L at some point?

That's what I was doing Saturday; cleaning out KCFDC stuff from Rick's basement and moving it to Swope.  I'll try to be there next week.

How many holes have alt tees?  Long tees down under sounds pretty cool.  Do they all have 2 pins?  Some more, some less?

I didn't even know about the alt pin/tee for 18 until you moved it there.  I also like the alt pin from the original tee.

Do the pins have any regular configs like all long, even-holes long, or anything like that?

I think we should do sign up down by hole 18 where we finish.  That way, if people are starting on different holes, it's a lot closer to get to their tee.  Just a thought.   Also, no 6-somes or 8-somes.....down under rounds shouldn't take 3.5 hours....doubles round are slower than singles rounds...trust me.  This request is probably falling on deaf ears, but I thought I'd give it the old college try.

Well Chap luckily we read with our eyes not our ears and THIS is what I proposed.  The problem isn't so much a 6-em problem as a starting hole problem.  We could still play in a sixem fast but when you stack them it becomes a problem.  Then again if you have all foursomes starting on hole 1 you have FOREVER to get everyone off and so on.  The problem solver is meet up top or on 12/18 area, play in foursomes and use 4 different hole locations to get everyone off in a timely manner. 

The problem is I don't run league.  When I mentioned it people complained and bickered.   I guess when it's your league you run it the way you want to .

Dick - is working on the #18 ALT pad on your list?  IMHO, it's almost unusable now in that it's only about 10ft in length (maybe closer to 8'). A shovel, a pick axe and a good load of large rocks should do it.

This would be a good weekend but I'll be in the Ozarks as my wife does her part to keep the economy cooking!

Yes it is on the list of things todo.  More so now because it's in that placement. It will be taken care of.  Currently I want to focus on the things that we will need for Worlds.  Though the day we do 18 ALT we will be putting in Hole 19.  Which with hole 18 Alt gives us 20 holes.

DU league is unique. The big increase in players warrants a look at adjusting logistics. Let's see how things are when the weather gets crappy. Some crappy scores last week....D'Open/Z 53??? Everyday is a workday by the way...
