Feb 2nd, 2009: P.C. Nite Glow Doubles (partner Andy Lewis) Hole #18 (short) by little ol' me.

and now for the rest of the story... I was teasing Tom on the (safari 9 to 17) hole prior to #18 short asking if the Ace Fund was in a Money Market, or a CD. Serious! Then mentioned that this is Mighty Mouse's FIRST official Nite Glow round. Way!

'nuff said. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

        What a historical evening at English Landing Park!!! 2 Aces in one night!!! The first one came after a nasty bogey on hole one due to a seriously botched putt..
         I stepped up to hole number two and it came to me on the pad, I just knew it was going straight in! sort of.. Grabbed my pristine ce leopard and with the help of the tree directly to the right of the basket the disc landed chain high right and sank!!! What a beauty! Thank you tree!
         I then played some bogey,par, bogey, par, golf for the next six holes and voila, here came hole number 9...
         Sometimes, I tell you, you just know. A perfect little soft hyzer shot my mind kept whispering to me. Just grab that leopard and do what you know how to do. So I did. And this time it was pure! No tree love, no skip just meat of the chains and another one drops!! WOW!
         A group of walkers happened to stop and watch the throw for whatever reason and got a chance to see it and a nice applause ensued. It felt pretty nice as you can probably imagine and then it came to me.. I made the whole thing up! April fools!! Suckers!  ;D

I got an Ace at Prairie Center today on a casual round with Josh Warner there to witness. It was an anny shot on #9 with a Pro Valk 165. I am very happy as this is my first witnessed ace since I started playing in 88. Talk about a dry spell. It is only my second ever.

Has anyone, like me, been playing 20+ years and never had an ace?  I've hit plenty o' chains but never got anything to stick.  Am I the only one?

I feel ya man...but I am getting closer!

Squarley hit the chains on #5 at Cliff yesterday...only to have it bounce out!

I do notice that my close calls are coming at a much faster rate now...I do predict one before the summer is over.

We need too...the other one I have had the best luck on is #10 at Rosey! I have solidily hit those chains 3 or 4 times now...only to have them bounce out.

As a result of the superior play yesterday...I did hit 3 back to back duces...#3, #4 and #5...was on a roll for sure.

And as luck would have it, walked away with the precious #64 bag tag!

Well last night was my 8th ace.

My first ace was in 10/1999

I first played in Summer of 1978

I played regularly (daily 3-4x) throughout the 80's

COntinued to play consistently in the 90's

Moved back to KC in 1999 and got my first ace at Swope on the "Dobie Hole" before the trees were removed.

Went through so many chains and fall outs, I had lost count at about 70.....Hole #1 in Oskaloosa I hit over 30x, and it never stuck.  On World's Biggest in 1999 I hit the chains at Rosedale on #7 2x with an MS....I was so mad....

It'll come......some of my aces now have been for some good cash, and others, like last night are just fun to hit!

Of course most of my aces happened after I was away from Rumple....I think knowing him slows everything down! ;D
