KCFDC just met with the JoCo Parks & Rec at SMP this morning. Several new items are in the planning stages for the park. Tee Pads are being planned for installation in the Spring. The Measurements will be 5' x 16' concrete. Tee signs will be installed on each hole as well. We are very pleased the parks dept has made such generous contributions to our sport. They will be providing the bulk of the labor and materials for the project. We also expect an information Kiosk to be installed at hole 1 around this time.
Several other items such as new pin placements and waste baskets are also in the works, we will see as few as 4 new B pin placements this year with a potential for 18 new placements, 1 for each hole.
A few tweaks to the course layout will be made in final preparation for tee pad install. Most affected will be holes 5 and 6, which will be extended and altered through the wooded area. 8, 9, 11, and 14 will also see some changes too tee pad location to better accomodate multiple pin placements. In effect, the current pins will be the defacto short placements as we move Tee in closer on a few holes, and longer B settings are placed.
I will keep the course map updated on our site as changes are made, however I'd expect the parks to alter their maps less frequently until the final changes are set in concrete so to speak.
