KCFDC Ace Pools
« on: August 01, 2005, 06:04:46 PM »
As of dates shown, the KCFDC league ace pools are:

Swope 07/12/05          $92
Olathe 07/11/05          $171
Rosedale 07/13/05       $102
Water Works 07/21/05 $660
Wyco 06/24/05            $564

C'mon out and spank one!!!

Rosedale has been hit 8 times this year so far including the last couple of DU aces, Swope 4 times, and Olathe twice.  I'm pretty sure that Wyco has never been aced in league play. Beckett Carduff has 5 of the 14 league aces this year. What's with that!?!?!?

Seems to me the only reason WyCo has never had an ace hit during league play is because Beckett's never been out there to play league.

Make that closer to $600 for the ace fund at WyCo now. I have some league money I haven't turned in yet.

maybe the reason that ww and wyco stand alone is because the HOLES ARE TOO LONG! the courses are just too darn hard for those of us who depend on aces as our reason for living.
I propose money be taken from both overloaded ace funds and put in a short course developement fund before beckett hits one, of more likely both.

We had the idea during league at WyCo last week that we pay out 25% of the ace fund to anyone that birdies #13, #14 (in long placements only) or #17 during league play and call it a field ace fund. Maybe we could generate some interest that way. So far #13 was birdied once, last year by Rick Molenkamp. He had a decent drive and then put it in from over 200 feet away.

As for Water Works. I saw #1 aced in its long placement so we know it can be done. More opportunities there than WyCo for sure.

A big arm might come to town and steal your cash.

Who hit WW #1 long?  That's a great hole.

Alexsy Bubis hit it during the Wide Open. Unfortunately for him it was during a rain delay. Fortunately for the crowd it was while a lot of people happened to be standing around so they got to see it.

I paid him $5.

Mike all individuals are welcomed to come and "take some KC $$", our leagues are open to all players, those not a club member must pony up an extra $1.  When the ace is hit, 1/2 the fund goes to the person, -$20 for a one year membership to the KCFDC.

Now where is the Cliff Drive Ace Fund total, that is what I want to know.

As of 08/01/05 the Cliff Drive ace fund is.............. $140.

My understanding is that much of it is winnings that have been donated back in to the pool.

Way to build it up ya'll.

Hey Beckett!!!
