Distance spotters (3 all the time)
Speed monitoring (RADAR GUN)
Mini contest-2 people all the time
Putting Contest-2people all the time
EDGE-Unsure if they will sponsor themselves, no idea at this point, but it has been a part of the field events the last few worlds.

Registration Hotel 9-6
Need to have 3-4 people at all times

Merchandise help during registration
Need to have 2-3 people all day as well shop will be open during registration

Things to do in KC, give ideas of what is fun and directions if needed.

I'd volunteer at the hotel on Saturday too, but detail work at Wyco may run over from Friday.

Welcoming committee--
Things to do in KC, give ideas of what is fun and directions if needed.

1) Are the local CV Bureaus on-board? Can they give us lots of handouts and coupons for the Player's Paks? I'm sure the Crown Center Hotel has a billboard full of them, but we also need info on outlying activities besides Crown Center.
2) Have we hit local restaurants for sponsorship knowing we'll be sending folks in their direction?

For the folk who are suggesting things to do in the KC area, are you volunteering for Welcoming Committee duty?

It's so nice to know that any ideas outside of the "Committee's" are not welcome.  Saves me from trying to help in any way!  Thanks for the heads up Jack and Tracy.

This is uncalled for. The point of these threads is to ask for volunteers. I do not understand how this these threads got hijacked into listing ideas of things for people to do in KC while not playing in the tourney. We need volunteers. We all know that there are lots of things to do in KC. Perhaps a different thread should be created for these ideas so this thread and the other volunteer threads can remain on topic.
