Duane Schempp of Shawnee seemed to speak for many when he questioned why park and county officials had allowed the problem to become this serious. His message: Get the deer under control.

I would highly recommend applying a Deet based insect repellent every time you play this course, from May- September especially. I usually don't get any ticks from playing the course if I do this, but without it I can pull off several ticks per round as its pretty unavoidable when the disc lands in the taller grass.
