it is bad.  I went there yesterday on my lunch to talk about the tee pads, drove through the park from the Renner entrance South and circled back up and counted 7 deer in the disc golf area, and this was at 11:00am.

I dont really care how they get it done, but I hate ticks, so lets keep lyme disease in the urban area to a minimum, and it sounds like they understand it as well.

They are thick everywhere. Instead of inhumanely killing the poor creatures with bullets and arrows, why don't we lobby to have mountain lions (pumas) re-introduced in the area to control the deer population like the nuts in Caliafornia did? With that plan you not only get a reduction in deer, but also elderly folks, children, and house pets.

My in-laws who are farmers in SE Kansas had a bad deer problem a few years ago. They went to the game warden and got a special permit (unlimited kill for a week). They took out 14 in 5 days, many of them from their deck.

I got one the other day on the course with a star boss at 60'. Took his head plumb off. Gus went into a feeding frenzy and ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.  ;D

Definitely diggin' the mountain lion idea, Tom. And Jack, remove every last deer and there will still be ticks. I never understood people moving to an area near a park, or where there are wild animal habitats nearby, and then proceeding to complain about the wild animals. People in that area tend to have more money than brains, and those people are constantly trying to be General Manager of the Universe... ::)

Tom, you don't hafta remind ME to stay out of your fairway (sorry about the incident a couple weeks ago at WYCO when I almost took your head off with a mini) ... and NOW I know why I'm afraid to get near Gus  :o
