Swope League - 6/16/09
« on: June 16, 2009, 09:16:01 PM »
23 out for Swope League on a muggy night.  Arturo goes low with a 40.  Matt Taylor wins Adv with a strong 47, but he forgot to bring along his blue ribbon from winning Am at Thornfield for the Mounted Patrol Tournament.  Come on Matt, you'll really impress people with that ribbon in tow.

Thanks to the Palmers for taking care of the scoring and cash distribution this evening.  I swear I'll actually be able to stick around for the entire round next week!

My round was going just fine, thanks.

I wasn't feeling it because I realized soon after we started that I should have brought my head phones...

I'll take constant yapping over awkward silence any day of the week. Was feeling a bit moody last night, having confidence issues with my drives, headphones just would have made it easier to get into my own world for a moment and try to get back on track. I ended up spending an hour or so of putting therapy with the practice basket before I went home.

I believe my group played the mando incorrectly on #1. Did you say "No OBs or Mandatories"? or "No OBs with Mandatories"?

I'll really try harder to be silent and listen up next time. Could this be written on the scorecard next time for confirmation?

just stand tall and pay attention next time.....there was more than one person in your group.....you all shoulda paid for some attention, but then we'd have to raise league fees to $20

The lower the player, the easier it is to duck. DUCK!!  Too late, sorry...

Remember, it's usually best to be looked over than to be overlooked (or overbooked)  ;)

We played short pads, and most baskets are set short, except #14 is on the peninsula. Bobby went left-to-right on #7 with his Ching ROC and just missed the ace! Todd and I also had a couple close calls...
