Here in a few months the course at Perry should be up and running.  This course will be 18 holes within Longview Park adjacent to the campground.  There is also a bar adjacent to the parking area that has live bands during the summer. Just FYI

I just played out at Clinton Lake Kansas "Hill-A-Rusa Fribzee Ranch" (Yes it's spelled that way) Maxx's Mirage Disc golf course. It's around camp ground 1 as you enter the State park. It's about $12 for car permit and tent camping. I thought it was fun. Bring a brightly colored disc though, the tall grass will eat you up. It was the funnest camping, fishing, and disc golf of my life.

Yeah, Clinton Lake disc golf is kind of typical for Army Corp of Engineers courses. Lake Cunningham in Omaha is like that too. Fun but very challenging disc golf with all the tall rough to deal with. It looks like the Perry Lake course might be a little different though with all the woods.

But wasn't the Clinton Lake designed by "Crazy" John Brooks?

Not sure. I don't think it was entirely. Seems like Nate Marshall had a hand in it too. But I don't really know.

nope.  He did wakarusa out there and helped to popularize it though.  He may have helped a little, but I believe that Nate designed it.

Brooks, has more than a dozen titles to his credit in disc events such as freestyle, golf, distance, MTA (maximum time aloft) and accuracy. He's tossed a Frisbee 226 yards, swished one through a basketball hoop from 91 1/2 feet and threaded a disc through a 116-person human tunnel.
I'd Say Crazy.

We are working on getting on installed at lake perry that will be an absolutely killer course.  Trying to set up the next work day and will post on here when it is set.  The first work day went great and we got a ton done.  It has camping right by the course.  There will be tunnels, huge elevation, water, mach 3s with flags, more elevation, wooded holes, open holes, annys, hyzers, thumbers, rollers, low leo shots, high heddy shots, par 4's, par 5s, wildlife, 8x12 sno cone tee pads, tee signs, practice basket, and much more.  Did I mention there is a bar right next to the first tee??  Haven't been in it, and it looks a little backwoodsy, but fill it with disc golfers and it could quickly change.

We need help installing it.  Again, I will post on here when we have our next work day and would love all the help we can get.
