A very interesting article about a growing feud in Florida over a popular disc golf course:

That article sure made both sides look like a bunch of busy-bodies. Those disc golfers are doing it wrong-- you're SUPPOSED to clear the shrubs and leave the trees alone, unless those trees are in the middle of a fairway... ;) :D

Really, CD?   Because (and this is small world) I went to high school with Joe Kolenda!  Nice guy, too.

I played 2 rounds there about a month ago and this course is a beautiuful, unique, fair yet challenging golf treasure with 18's green nestled up oceanside! I have shells from my trip at home that came from the very beach. There is a LOT of traffic from boaters and other park users for sure and if they lose this course it would be a real loss for the folks that can call Maximo home. The combination of the oceanside property with the AMAZING assortment of Florida's trees and beautiful vegetation along with a well thought out, challenging course(and I haven't even touched on the wide variety of geckos, lizards, skinks or prehistoric looking birds flying all round)are reason enough that if you happen to be in the tampa area, then PLAY IT!! ;D
