baskets gone?-who took them, when will they be back?
« on: September 13, 2005, 01:41:30 PM »
for the time being, probably the next six months while the continual work of the Kreeger Incorporated Disc Golf Operation Design (KID GOD) continues to develop the moguls and new greens towards the betterment of the area the baskets will be pulled.  They have about $7-$8k in grass seed that they will be planting.  To ensure a strong root system we would ask that you play alternate courses, Cliff Drive is close by, and continue to bring friends out to see the new designs and other work that continues to evolve our private paradise in the future.

if you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to call and ask how you can help benefit this beautiful acerage that we will call championship disc golf.

thanks,

jack

So has the seed been sowed.  And will it be open in spring?

Course still has 17 pins in?  Is the work done, partially done, or on hold?  I would like to come up to KC and play a this great par 4 course.

hopper let me know when you want to go I love that course and I believe that to feel a little safer when playing we should have at least a group of 5.

I've played BV alone several times.  I haven't had any problems at all, except for the time Kreiger scared the s*** outta me...  Use common sense, if something looks bad it's likely to be bad, and leave the area.

Now, nighttime is a different story for now.
Ace?  I'll take a freakin' BIRDIE!

If you encounter a problem out there, might I suggest dialing 911. The police are on our side in this park and respond fairly quickly. I saw first hand a phone call made to 911 that resulted in a chopper over head before we finished the next hole. That's my 2 sense worth.

My suggestion is...

...bring a big dog; you'll be left alone for sure. I worry more about the pack of wild dogs running around there, as they are looking pretty hungry. Jessie (my 102 lb Catahoula) ran them off a few weekends ago:)

I'm not worried about the wildlife.  What about the course?

The course is awesome, a must play. Tomorrow though, it might be a rough experience - strong wind and snow! Can't wait until it's a mostly finished project. In my opinion, it will be the best course in Kansas City when it offers pads on all holes and an assortment of pin positions; all of which are in progress. Enjoy!

Bales lake?  I understand that there are quite a few discs in there, including some over 20 years from Gary Lewis in talking with those that lusted over the land years prior to reality.

I for one have lost a few discs in the water, and would love to have them back.........would pay for the discs if you see them!
