I gotta say, Josh Anthon was an amazing player. But just looking at the guy I would have never thought he was a world class disc golfer. Even while watching him play it was kind of like the the guy and the skills just weren't matching up for me. I know Avery Jenkins is a freak, but seeing him and Josh play together was like watching david and goliath, only this time Goliath won. Honestly I would have picked Josh to be more of a "treckie" or something like that then a disc golfer Did anyone else get that feeling from seeing Josh?

Yeah, Josh didn't really "look like" a disc golfer to me, either. Must've been the cop moustache, or perhaps the angry, rigid form he uses to drive. Apparently, not everyone has to be relaxed to throw a nice drive. Whatever, he sure can play some disc golf!

sorry for misspelling Josh Anthon's last name previously. He sure did play a great tourney, a bit rigid form but some great shots, however Avery Jenkins was strong and smooth and scored a great win!

I wouldn't say Avery looks relaxed when throwing a drive.  If you want to see the model of relaxed, look at the guy that finished 3rd, Matt Orum.  I don't think there's an once of wasted energy with his throw; every bit of spin and velocity he generates with his body is effortlessly transferred to his disc.

If Orum hadn't hit those folks on the first holes, he may have made it into the playoff.  That first hole bogey (actually par, but one more than the rest) made him go for the next hole, which resulted in OB.  Without question, Orum was the show of the final 9.

Yes he was, burying those putts and running to the basket pumping his fist, and especially with that park job on the final hole. He was a lot of fun to watch.

It also helps that Orum looks like he has about an 8 foot wing span. I'm sure I could throw a bit farther if I had monkey arms. But he was probably my favorite player to watch all week.
